Forklift Trainer (Associate) – WSQ Operate Forklift Programs

About the role

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Forklift Trainer to conduct WSQ Operate Forklift and Forklift Operator Refresher Training (FORT) programmes. The successful candidate will deliver both theory and practical training, assess trainees' competency, and ensure compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations, SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) and Ministry of Manpower (MOM) requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct WSQ Operate Forklift and Forklift Operator Refresher Training programmes.
• Deliver classroom, practical, and workplace‑based training sessions.
• Assess trainees according to approved assessment plans and competency standards.
• Perform practical demonstrations and supervise forklift operation exercises.
• Maintain accurate training, attendance, and assessment records.
• Participate in courseware review and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure training equipment and forklifts are kept in safe working condition.
• Support audits by SSG, MOM, WSH Council, or internal quality teams.

Required profile

• Valid WSQ Operate Forklift certification or equivalent forklift operator qualification.
• ACTA and/or ACLP certification.
• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on forklift operating experience in warehousing, logistics, manufacturing, construction or related industries.
• Strong knowledge of the Workplace Safety and Health Act, WSH regulations and Singapore Standard SS 573 (Safe Use of Powered Counterbalanced Forklifts).
• Experience in adult education and training delivery.

Required skills

• WSQ Operate Forklift certification.
• ACTA / ACLP qualifications.
• Knowledge of WSH Act and regulations.
• Familiarity with Singapore Standard SS 573.
• Forklift operational safety and risk‑management practices.
• Adult education and competency assessment techniques.
