Frontend Software Engineer – Global Live (Revenue)

About the role

We are seeking a passionate Frontend Software Engineer to help build and optimise a real‑time, high‑performance, large‑scale distributed infrastructure for TikTok Live. You will work across the full product lifecycle, collaborating closely with product managers to deliver the best streaming experience for creators and viewers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop user‑interfaces for TikTok Live on PC and mobile devices, covering middle‑platform, operating platform, user‑facing products and multi‑scale events.
• Design and implement engineering solutions that support TikTok Live’s business tools and productivity platforms.
• Create high‑quality, performant code to enhance the overall user experience and drive ecosystem growth.
• Explore and apply efficient collaboration methods to improve remote and cross‑regional communication.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a computing‑related field.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML and CSS with a solid understanding of browser internals.
• Experience building large‑scale front‑end applications without relying on external libraries.
• Familiarity with mainstream frameworks such as React, Vue or AngularJS and their design principles.
• Knowledge of front‑end engineering practices, modularisation, debugging and testing tools, and strong problem‑solving abilities.
