Full-Stack Engineer (Data Engineering & AI/ML)

About the role

Activate Interactive, a technology consultancy in Singapore, is hiring a Full-Stack Engineer with an interest in data engineering and AI/ML. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract based at the Funan Office Tower. The engineer takes ownership of end-to-end application development and contributes to building and maintaining applications while learning to integrate AI/ML components and handle data pipelines.

Key responsibilities

• Own end-to-end application development, integrating frontend, backend and cloud infrastructure
• Optimise full-stack CI/CD deployment strategies for automated releases
• Collaborate with data engineers to implement data pipelines in production
• Build high-performance backend services and APIs with reliability, security and observability
• Identify ways to use AI/ML to improve data pipelines
• Write clean, maintainable code, take part in code reviews and contribute to technical documentation
• Support testing and debugging across environments

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field
• Strong problem-solving, analytical mindset and attention to code quality
• Eager to learn new technologies and able to work in a team

Required skills

• Python and SQL
• Version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines
• RESTful APIs, databases (SQL and NoSQL), and basic knowledge of web frameworks such as React, Angular, Vue.js, Django, Node.js or Flask
• Data processing libraries (Pandas, NumPy)
• Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
• Basic understanding of data structures and algorithms, and familiarity with AI/ML RAG
