Full Stack Engineer – React, Node.js & CMS

About the role

Our client in the IT industry is looking for a Full Stack Engineer with strong React and Node.js expertise to support a web portal post‑migration. The role is a 1‑year renewable contract based in Central Singapore, with standard Monday‑Friday office hours.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical oversight for the web portal after migration, troubleshooting UI/UX, CMS templates, API integrations and data ingestion.
• Develop new front‑end components using React/Next.js and back‑end logic with Node.js/TypeScript, including complex data checkers and personalized features.
• Design and maintain secure integrations with internal systems, external datasets and file‑transfer protocols, handling API keys and tokens.
• Configure modules, workflows and metadata in a headless CMS (Directus or similar) to keep the platform intuitive for content teams.
• Lead UAT defect resolution, implement automated testing suites and ensure compliance with accessibility (WCAG), performance and security standards.
• Participate in agile ceremonies and collaborate via GitLab for version control and CI/CD.
• Maintain technical documentation, system architecture updates and release notes.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on experience with Node.js, TypeScript, React and Next.js.
• Experience configuring and using headless CMS platforms such as Directus.
• Good understanding of REST APIs, JSON, OAuth2 and API security.
• Familiarity with GitLab, CI/CD pipelines, DevSecOps practices and Docker containerisation.
• Knowledge of AWS services (EC2, S3, CDN, Load Balancers) and cloud/web infrastructure.
• Proven ability to implement automated testing, accessibility compliance and performance optimisation.
• Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills across front‑end, back‑end and cloud environments.
