Full‑Stack Engineer – React & Python

About the role

Join the ZAEL platform team at ST Engineering as a Full‑Stack Engineer. You will work on both front‑end and back‑end components, delivering responsive interfaces and robust APIs that turn vessel data into actionable insights for operators and fleet managers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and test front‑end features using React, HTML5, CSS and JavaScript under senior guidance.
• Build and maintain back‑end services and REST APIs with Python frameworks such as FastAPI, Django or Flask, and PostgreSQL.
• Contribute to data ingestion, processing and visualisation pipelines that surface vessel performance metrics.
• Implement custom analytics logic applying domain‑specific algorithms to raw vessel data.
• Debug, troubleshoot and optimise web applications for performance, responsiveness and reliability.
• Maintain existing codebases, ensuring code quality, compatibility and efficiency.
• Collaborate with product managers, UI/UX designers, senior developers, naval architects and maritime experts to translate operational needs into functional features.
• Participate in code reviews and adopt best practices for full‑stack development and agile delivery.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• Up to 2 years of software development experience or relevant internships.
• Strong desire to learn, adapt and grow within a collaborative team.
• Good communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Interest in the maritime sector is a plus.
