FW Technical Marketing Engineer (Driver TME)

About the role

The FW/SW Technical Marketing Engineer (TME) owns end-to-end quality of HP's firmware, software, drivers and security stack from New Product Introduction through post-launch and sustaining phases. The role bridges customers, support organizations, R&D and partners, resolving issues and improving quality in non-hardware areas such as drivers, networking and security. Driver-related knowledge is required.

Key responsibilities

• Drive driver/firmware quality readiness from early NPI, partnering with R&D on design, validation and qualification, and ensuring a smooth handover to current products
• Lead customer escalations, isolate root causes and own the technical action plan until resolution (relief, workaround or permanent fix)
• Advocate for customer and market needs when prioritizing defects submitted to R&D or partners
• Validate fixes, patches and releases under realistic conditions and close the loop on test coverage and qualification gaps
• Document root cause and resolution in release notes, read-me files and public documentation, and share updates with support delivery organizations
• Deliver training or briefings on new firmware/software changes and analyze field data to improve quality processes

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Hands-on experience in firmware, software, drivers, networking or security, especially drivers
• Experience supporting or managing product quality, technical support or customer escalations
• Proven ability to analyze, isolate and resolve technical issues across teams, with strong communication skills
• Preferred: NPI experience, background in enterprise or commercial printing solutions, experience with global R&D partners and familiarity with escalation processes
