About the role

The General Manager will serve as the primary strategic leader of the Marriott Tang Plaza Hotel, driving guest and employee satisfaction while delivering strong financial results. This senior position oversees all aspects of hotel operations, brand compliance, and community engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute business strategies that align with Marriott brand standards and local market dynamics.
• Lead the property leadership team, holding them accountable for performance and professional development.
• Manage guest experience, human resources, finance, sales, and revenue generation to achieve ROI for Marriott International and property owners.
• Leverage Marriott’s sales engines and initiate proactive sales activities to generate demand.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, local officials, businesses, and the community.
• Oversee renovation, refurbishment, or pre‑opening projects while maintaining operational excellence.

Required profile

• 2‑year degree in Business Administration, Hotel & Restaurant Management or related field with 8 years of relevant experience, OR a 4‑year bachelor’s degree with 6 years of experience.
• Proven General Manager experience in a limited or full‑service hotel, preferably with renovation or pre‑opening exposure.
• Demonstrated progressive career growth and exceptional performance in the hospitality industry.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and late nights.
