GL Assistant Executive (6‑Month Contract)

About the role

This 6‑month contract position supports the finance team in day‑to‑day general ledger activities, month‑end and year‑end closing, and various reporting tasks. It is an entry‑level opportunity for candidates with a diploma in accountancy who are eager to develop practical finance skills in a dynamic Singapore office.

Key responsibilities

• Handle daily financial transactions, month‑end and year‑end closing, and prepare audit schedules.
• Liaise with internal departments to collect required information and documents.
• Prepare payroll certifications for manpower claims and process claim submissions to funding organisations.
• Monitor funding account receivables, follow up on collections, and prepare periodic reports for account owners.
• Prepare GST and other statistical submissions, and process internal charge and reclassification requests.
• Identify and clear offsetting transactions for balance‑sheet accounts and reconcile inter‑company balances.
• Assist with corporate tax matters, internal and external audits, and process‑improvement projects.
• Perform any ad‑hoc duties assigned by the supervisor.

Required profile

• At least a Diploma in Accountancy.
• Fresh or entry‑level candidate.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
