Global Trade Compliance Analyst

About the role

Solventum (formerly 3M Health Care) is looking for an experienced Trade Compliance Analyst to join its corporate Global Trade Compliance team in the APAC region. The role reports to the Director of Global Trade Compliance and supports the continuous growth of the corporate trade compliance program. It is remote and hybrid, with Korea, China and Singapore accepted; relocation assistance is not authorized.

Key responsibilities

• Country of origin: determine country of origin for products, build questionnaires to keep ERP data current, take part in cross-functional meetings on origin issues and manage vendor requests for origin certifications
• Customs valuation: answer valuation inquiries, analyse retroactive price adjustments and identify disclosure and entry amendment requirements
• Export compliance: complete RPL and end-use checks, apply for export licenses, manage third-party certifications and keep ECCNs and licensing controls up to date in the ERP
• Support responses to government inquiries and disclosures, and run trade compliance audits with corrective actions tracked
• Analyse import/export data for compliance risks, duty savings and process improvements
• Support IT/ERP projects, deliver trade compliance training and maintain policies, standards and procedures
• Set KPIs and report performance metrics to leadership

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or higher in International Affairs/Trade, International Business, Logistics, Supply Chain or a related field
• 3 to 5 years of experience in global trade compliance in a law firm, consultancy or multinational
• Strong knowledge of country of origin and customs valuation rules in the APAC region
• US and regional export compliance knowledge is a plus; customs auditing expertise is a plus
• Strong analytical, written and verbal communication and presentation skills
• Legally authorized to work in the country of employment without a visa sponsorship
