Graduate Software Engineer, Embedded Firmware

About the role

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is hiring a Graduate Software Engineer, Embedded Firmware in Singapore. The role is designed as onsite, with the expectation that you will primarily work from an HPE partner or customer office. You will join a team that designs, implements, tests and validates software for state-of-the-art networking products, building on your existing technical knowledge while growing into broader platform work.

Key responsibilities

• Understand and gather project requirements, design sub-modules and investigate accordingly
• Identify risk factors and mitigate them
• Debug issues and derive fixes, then close them with the relevant parties
• Take part in technical discussions and decision-making, and propose technical solutions
• Give regular technical updates to the team lead and manager and ensure timely delivery of tasks
• Deliver high-quality work across all products

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Solid understanding of software development principles
• Interest and ability to investigate issues and develop solutions
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills, self-motivated and quick to learn
• Ability to collaborate with global, cross-functional teams

Required skills

• Experience with software development tools and processes
• Knowledge of C programming
• Additional skills mentioned: cloud architectures, DevOps, microservices, testing and automation, security-first mindset, distributed computing
