Group Financial Controller

About the role

A fast‑growing international financial services group is looking for a Group Financial Controller / Head of Financial Accounting to build and strengthen its group‑level finance function across multiple entities, jurisdictions and currencies. This is a hands‑on leadership role for someone who can take ownership of the numbers, establish robust financial controls and lead the next stage of finance transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Own group consolidation and month‑end close across multiple entities and currencies, driving a faster and more reliable close process.
• Establish consistent accounting policies, financial controls and reporting standards across the Group.
• Lead external audits, statutory reporting and audit remediation, coordinating with local accounting firms across jurisdictions.
• Take ownership of accounting matters within a regulated financial services environment, including client money and regulatory capital.
• Lead the finance side of a new ERP implementation, including chart of accounts, data migration and parallel‑run decisions.

Required profile

• 8+ years’ finance/accounting experience, including 3+ years owning in‑house close and consolidation.
• ACCA, CPA, CICPA or equivalent professional qualification.
• Proven ownership of multi‑entity, multi‑currency consolidation.
• Experience within financial services, payments, brokerage or another relevant regulated environment.
• Strong process/control mindset with the ability to operate hands‑on; ERP implementation/migration experience is highly advantageous.
