Group Management Accountant – APAC

About the role

We are seeking a Group Management Accountant to establish and lead the finance function for our APAC operations in Singapore. Reporting to the UK‑based CFO, you will be the first finance hire in the region, responsible for month‑end close, reporting and ensuring compliance with financial, tax and statutory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Own and drive the APAC month‑end close, delivering accurate management accounts on the Group timetable.
• Prepare balance‑sheet reconciliations, accruals, pre‑payments, deferred income, work‑in‑progress and inter‑company balances.
• Support Group consolidation and reporting, providing variance analysis and supporting schedules.
• Review project revenue, cost of sales and margins, ensuring proper recognition and investigating anomalies.
• Maintain robust financial controls, high‑quality working papers and audit‑ready documentation.
• Identify and implement process improvements, standardisation and automation of financial controls.
• Partner with commercial and operational teams to monitor project performance and support commercial initiatives.

Required profile

• Self‑starter with a strong sense of ownership and a proactive approach to problem solving.
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to investigate discrepancies and resolve accounting issues.
• Comfortable working with senior stakeholders across an international business.
• Detail‑oriented, able to produce high‑quality documentation and maintain strict controls.
