Head of Primary Science Programme

About the role

MetaQuest (MQ) is seeking a dynamic Head of Science (Primary) to design, launch and lead a high‑quality science programme for Primary 3 to 6 students. You will shape curriculum, drive teaching excellence and build a capable team to deliver consistent student outcomes across centres.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and continuously refine the P3‑P6 science curriculum to align with the MOE syllabus and PSLE requirements.
• Develop structured teaching approaches and lesson‑delivery standards for the whole team.
• Monitor student progress, analyse data and implement improvements to boost programme outcomes.
• Engage parents with clear communication on student development and programme benefits.
• Teach 4‑6 classes per week (including at least one weekend class) while the teaching team expands.
• Recruit, hire and train teachers to deliver high‑quality, experiment‑based lessons.

Required profile

• Degree in Science or a related field (MOE/NIE training preferred).
• 5‑8 years of primary science teaching experience.
• Proven track record of improving student performance in science.
• Experience in curriculum development, mentoring or academic leadership is a plus.
• Initiative‑driven with a passion for programme building and ownership.
