Hotel Maintenance Technician

About the role

The Hotel Maintenance Technician is responsible for responding to guest repair requests and ensuring the smooth operation of all building systems at The St. Regis Singapore. This role combines preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs across a wide range of facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Attend to guest repair requests and communicate resolutions promptly.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen equipment, and mechanical room assets, including cleaning and lubrication.
• Inspect, test, and repair air‑conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and pneumatic/electronic systems.
• Carry out minor carpentry, painting, drywall, and wood‑trim repairs, as well as lighting and filter replacements.
• Program televisions, manage housekeeping‑related inventory, and use the Lockout/Tagout system before work.
• Maintain landscaping, sprinkler systems, and exterior building elements.
• Update maintenance logs, inventory requisitions, and daily activity reports using approved communication tools.

Required profile

• Basic knowledge of HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and carpentry disciplines.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull objects up to 50 lb unaided and perform heavier tasks with assistance.
• Strong communication skills with guests and team members.
• Commitment to safety policies, including use of personal protective equipment and reporting hazards.
• Professional appearance and confidentiality regarding proprietary information.
