HVAC Project Manager

About the role

Johnson Controls is seeking an experienced HVAC Project Manager to lead the delivery of mechanical and electrical (M&E) projects across commercial, institutional and industrial environments. You will act as the primary liaison between clients, contractors and internal teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Meet with clients to capture requirements and translate them into project specifications.
• Prepare, review and issue pre‑construction documents, schedules, specifications, schematics and tender drawings.
• Manage a portfolio of approved M&E contractors throughout the project lifecycle.
• Control project costs through procurement, budgeting, analysis and appraisal.
• Coordinate with specialist consultants and ensure programme alignment between client and contractor.
• Monitor installation quality, health, safety and fire compliance, and report non‑conformances.
• Secure certifications, correspondence, drawings and financial records for each project.
• Provide technical support to internal departments and deliver clear progress reports to management.

Required profile

• B.Sc or B.Eng in Electrical, Power, Mechanical or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in HVAC retrofit, design and cost management.
• Strong knowledge of chiller plant optimization and commercial/industrial HVAC systems.
• Proven leadership and team‑working abilities.
