Information Technology Consultant – Contract Role

About the role

This contract position is part of a strategic transformation initiative aimed at designing, developing, and modernising a suite of software applications that support core business operations and enhance user experience. The role reports directly to the project leads and works within a governance framework aligned with long‑term technology goals.

Key responsibilities

• Design, code, test, and debug software applications that meet user needs and business objectives.
• Develop scalable, high‑performance architectures using modern development frameworks.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective solutions.
• Enhance and maintain existing applications, identifying optimisation opportunities.
• Resolve software defects and technical issues promptly to ensure stability.
• Participate in code reviews and enforce best practices in coding, testing, and documentation.
• Work within Agile/Scrum teams to deliver high‑quality solutions.
• Maintain technical documentation for design, workflows, and deployment.

Required profile

• Proficiency in programming languages (specific languages not listed).
• Experience with front‑end JavaScript technologies, especially ReactJS.
• Familiarity with relational (SQL) and non‑relational (NoSQL) databases and data modelling.
• Understanding of Agile and Scrum development methodologies.
