Intern, Communications & Public Affairs (Jan-Jun 2027)

About the role

Disney Consumer Products' Communications & Public Affairs team develops and runs strategic communications programmes supporting its business priorities across Southeast Asia. This office-based internship in the Singapore office gives exposure to planning and executing communication strategies and activities, working across Disney's lines of business to cover Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. It supports external and internal campaigns and helps coordinate regional operational workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Media monitoring: monitor, compile and analyse media coverage of Disney-themed products and activities, and research and report on media trends
• Communications campaigns and media relations: edit, create and pitch press releases, media kits, talking points and other assets; support external engagement events; help with media relationship management
• Brainstorming sessions and creative ideas for communications efforts
• Internal communications: support CSR initiatives, compile monthly highlights, and engage colleagues through internal channels
• Cross-functional collaboration with other Disney teams for integrated marketing and communications

Required profile

• Undergraduate currently studying a bachelor's degree or diploma in Communications, Media, Journalism or a related field
• Not yet graduated during the internship period
• Available full-time, Monday to Friday, 9am-6pm, on-site from January to June 2027, with start and end dates stated in the resume
• Expected graduation date and a writing/marketing portfolio link (if any)
• Plus: knowledge of social media platforms and trends, an eye for design, and interest in Disney, Pixar, Star Wars and Marvel

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office and Keynote
• Excellent written and spoken English
• Ability to use media monitoring tools is a plus
