Intern, Data & Research (Data) - 6 Months Contract

About the role

The Data & Research department leads Singapore's arts and culture research and data ecosystem, using data analytics and sound data practices to shape national arts and culture policy and programme development. It works closely with government, academia, cultural institutions and arts practitioners. As a Data & Research intern, you will contribute to live data projects and analytics work while supporting analytics needs across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Extract, clean, transform, analyse and model data that informs arts and culture policy, programming and operations in Singapore
• Design and build dashboards and visualisations that surface meaningful insights
• Develop good habits around data documentation
• Contribute to the development and rollout of a new data warehouse and visualisation platform
• Gain exposure to stakeholder engagement, knowledge management and how data solutions are adopted across an organisation

Required profile

• Currently pursuing a degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Economics or a related field
• Interest in using data to make a difference in the arts and culture sector
• Able to commit to 3 to 5 working days per week during the contract period, unless otherwise agreed before acceptance

Required skills

• Proficiency in Python, SQL, Tableau, AWS QuickSight or other data and AI tools (no expert level required)
• Curiosity and willingness to learn
