Intern - NPD Wellness

About the role

Haleon, a consumer health company with brands such as Sensodyne, Panadol, Advil, Voltaren, Theraflu, Otrivin and Centrum, is recruiting one intern to support its NPD Wellness team in delivering innovation projects for Haleon Consumer Health R&D. The intern works under the supervision of the NPD Principal Scientist - Wellness and collaborates with Commercial, Innovation, Manufacturing, Medical, Regulatory, Insights and R&D Scientists. The preferred period is January 2027 to June/July 2027, for undergraduate students in Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Science, Life Sciences, Food Sciences or related fields.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate technical data comprehensively and critically during product development
• Coordinate discussions with cross-functional teams and integrate their inputs to reach key NPD milestones
• Prepare technical reports and presentations
• Help the NPD-Wellness team build technical and product research plans aligned with project deliverables
• Support the team with other product-related project and development activities

• Build a strong technical understanding of innovation requirements
• Develop analytical skills by researching, analysing and reviewing technical data
• Act as the voice of the consumer in developing innovation opportunities
• Experience a matrixed environment and partnership across functional teams

Required profile

• Degree in Chemical, Pharmaceutical, Engineering or related sciences such as Food Science
• Verbal and written English
• Interest in consumer healthcare science, products and development
• Willingness to apply as soon as possible, as positions are offered on a first-come, first-served basis
