Internal Controls Manager – High Tech Manufacturing

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Internal Controls Manager to lead the design, implementation and monitoring of internal controls over financial reporting for a global high‑tech manufacturing leader. Reporting to the Head of Internal Controls, you will work across finance, accounting, operations and IT to ensure compliance with corporate governance standards and maintain the integrity of financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Lead materiality assessments and scope critical entities and account captions.
• Develop and maintain the Financial Control Framework and internal control policies.
• Guide and train control testers and owners on risk mitigation and best practices.
• Test internal controls for design, implementation and operating effectiveness.
• Monitor compliance metrics and prepare regular management updates.
• Oversee remediation of control deficiencies.
• Document process narratives, risk and control matrices, and flowcharts.
• Stay current with regulatory developments and industry best practices.

Required profile

• Degree in Accountancy or ACCA qualification.
• At least 8 years of experience in internal controls, SOX compliance, external/internal audit or related roles.
• Professional certification such as CA, CPA, CIA or CISA preferred.
• Experience in a multinational corporation or Big 4/public accounting firm, preferably in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of internal control concepts and SOX requirements.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail and ability to work independently and in cross‑functional teams.
