Investment Specialist

About the role

We are seeking an Investment Specialist to join HSBC’s International Wealth and Premier Banking team. The role focuses on advising Premier clients on investment strategies, managing portfolios, and delivering tailored wealth solutions across the Asia‑Pacific region.

Key responsibilities

• Provide investment advisory and relationship management for Premier clients, collaborating closely with Relationship Managers.
• Design and optimise client portfolios with strategic asset allocation, leveraging structured products, mutual funds and bonds.
• Translate the Chief Investment Office view into actionable investment insights and conduct market research.
• Perform due‑diligence and recommend investment solutions, specialising in structured products, unit trusts and fixed income.
• Advise clients on wealth‑lending options such as Lombard lending to complement investment strategies.
• Coach Relationship Managers to enhance their investment knowledge and communication.
• Monitor portfolio performance, conduct regular reviews and propose adjustments.
• Ensure compliance with MAS regulations and internal risk policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related quantitative field.
• Significant experience in investment advisory, portfolio management or product specialist roles within private banking, wealth management or asset management.
• Proven track record of advising High‑Net‑Worth clients in Singapore or the Asia‑Pacific region.
• Deep expertise in structured products, mutual funds (unit trusts) and fixed‑income securities.
• Strong analytical, quantitative and communication skills.
