IT Business Analyst (Trading & Settlements)

About the role

We are looking for a senior IT Business Analyst to join the Applications team of a leading financial services firm. You will act as the bridge between business users, developers and external vendors, translating trading and settlement needs into actionable system requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders on trading, post‑trade and settlement projects.
• Map current and future‑state processes, including system flows, data movement and operational touchpoints.
• Prepare user stories, acceptance criteria and test scenarios; validate changes through UAT.
• Support implementation activities, coordinate users, clarify defects and follow up post‑go‑live.
• Identify opportunities to improve workflows, systems or controls.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of experience as a Business Analyst, IT Business Analyst, Systems Analyst or Implementation Analyst in financial services.
• Strong understanding of the trade lifecycle (execution, confirmation, affirmation, settlement) and ability to trace settlement issues.
• Depth in at least one asset class (FX, futures, securities) with solid post‑trade and settlement knowledge.
• Hands‑on experience writing specifications and running test scenarios.
• Comfortable working with both in‑house development teams and external vendors.
