IT Helpdesk / Support Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an IT Helpdesk / IT Support Engineer to provide day‑to‑day technical assistance to XG Tech employees and ensure smooth operation of the company’s IT systems and office infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑line support for hardware, software, network and system issues.
• Configure laptops, desktops, peripherals, software and user accounts for new hires.
• Manage onboarding and off‑boarding, including equipment allocation and asset recovery.
• Troubleshoot Windows, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, VPN, Wi‑Fi and basic network connectivity.
• Maintain records of IT assets, licences and user accounts.
• Support office IT infrastructure such as network equipment and meeting‑room systems.
• Escalate complex issues to relevant teams or vendors.
• Assist with IT security measures, endpoint protection and access‑control implementation.
• Contribute to IT projects, system upgrades and other initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in IT helpdesk or desktop support.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem‑solving and customer‑service skills.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple support requests.
• Relevant certifications (CompTIA, Microsoft, ITIL) are a plus.
