IT Security Officer

About the role

We are looking for an IT Security Operations Specialist to support day‑to‑day cybersecurity and infrastructure security operations across on‑premises and cloud environments. The role focuses on vulnerability management, incident response, DDoS/WAF operations, compliance and remediation tracking, working closely with internal teams and external security providers.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate vulnerability management across servers, endpoints, applications and Azure cloud environments using tools such as TenableOne, VMS or Cloudscape.
• Review vulnerability assessment and patch compliance reports to set remediation priorities and track outstanding issues.
• Support cybersecurity incident investigation, containment, recovery and closure, and maintain incident records.
• Operate DDoS protection and Web Application Firewall (WAF) functions, review alerts and adjust WAF rules as needed.
• Maintain security risk, remediation and compliance tracking records and prepare operational reports for management.
• Assist with cybersecurity audits and compliance assessments by providing required documentation and evidence.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in IT, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field.
• 2‑5 years of experience in cybersecurity operations, vulnerability management or related functions.
• Experience with vulnerability management tools such as Tenable or equivalent solutions.
• Good understanding of vulnerability and patch management processes.
• Familiarity with DDoS protection and WAF technologies (preferred).
• Exposure to Microsoft Azure security and cloud environments (advantageous).
• Knowledge of security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001 or CIS Controls.
