IT Solutions Architect

About the role

The IT Solutions Architect will design end‑to‑end solutions that support business objectives across Great Eastern’s entities in Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia. You will work closely with business and IT stakeholders to create architectural roadmaps, ensure alignment with enterprise standards, and guide delivery teams through implementation.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse business objectives and translate them into a technical strategy and architecture roadmap.
• Develop solution architectures, building blocks, and standards that span application, infrastructure, data, and cloud domains.
• Perform implementation assurance to keep delivery teams aligned with approved designs.
• Manage technical debt, monitor progress, and drive resolution.
• Lead technology selection and obtain approvals from the architecture board.
• Maintain and enrich the architecture repository with guidelines, playbooks, and roadmaps.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a Solution Architect role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Familiarity with the insurance industry and relevant technologies.
• Ability to quickly acquire new technical concepts.

Required skills

• Solution architecture design using C4, Arch42, UML.
• Knowledge of TOGAF or a comparable enterprise architecture framework.
• Experience with multi‑technology solutions across application, infrastructure, data, and cloud.
• Technology selection and technical debt management.
