Junior Legal Counsel

About the role

MetaComp is seeking a commercially‑minded Junior Legal Counsel to support its payments, digital‑asset and wealth product businesses in Singapore. This in‑house role is ideal for a 2–5 PQE lawyer who combines legal rigour with practical commercial judgment and a curiosity for financial technology.

Key responsibilities

• Support legal work for payments, digital‑asset, custody, OTC, tokenised and wealth‑related products offered by MetaComp and its affiliates.
• Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements, including customer, partner, vendor, technology, outsourcing, custody, brokerage and service contracts.
• Provide legal and regulatory advice on Singapore financial‑services matters, collaborating closely with Compliance, Product, Operations and Business teams.
• Assist with product launches, partner onboarding, internal approvals, governance documentation and coordination with external counsel.
• Develop and maintain templates, playbooks and legal knowledge resources.
• Utilise AI tools responsibly for legal drafting, review and research, and help improve AI‑enabled legal workflows within the team.

Required profile

• 2–5 years post‑qualification experience (PQE).
• Qualified in Singapore or another common‑law jurisdiction.
• Experience in payments, fintech, digital assets, financial services, wealth products or capital markets is preferred.
• Strong contract drafting and negotiation abilities.
• Native‑level English drafting and communication skills.
• Based in Singapore and able to work in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional environment.
• Practical, detail‑oriented and commercially minded.
