L1 Support Engineer

About the role

Avensys is seeking a motivated L1 Support Engineer to provide first‑line IT support across multiple Singapore sites. You will be the initial point of contact for workstation, peripheral, application and connectivity issues, ensuring timely resolution and high service quality.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑line support for desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
• Log, prioritize, troubleshoot and resolve incidents and service requests within SLA using ServiceNow or Jira.
• Collect diagnostic evidence and escalate complex issues to L2, infrastructure, application or vendor teams.
• Respond to outages and service degradations, delivering regular updates to stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate ticket records, produce daily reports and manage shift handovers.
• Follow SOPs, security controls and site‑access requirements while supporting trend analysis and automation initiatives.

Required profile

• Diploma in IT, Computer Studies or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of relevant IT support experience.
• Eligibility for required security clearance and willingness to work 12‑hour rotating shifts, including nights, weekends and public holidays.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently onsite.

• Windows endpoint support.
• Basic networking concepts.
• ServiceNow and Jira ticketing tools.
• Structured troubleshooting methodology.
• Basic SQL querying.
• Exposure to Unix/Linux environments (beneficial).
• ITIL/ITSM knowledge (good‑to‑have).
• Microsoft 365, Excel and Power BI reporting skills (good‑to‑have).
