Lead, Academic – Postgraduate Programme Management

About the role

The Lead, Academic is a senior leadership position responsible for the delivery and continuous improvement of postgraduate programmes. The role bridges academic leadership, faculty and administrative systems to ensure high‑quality, research‑driven education.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee PhD programme processes, including qualifying examinations, thesis coordination and reviewer assignments.
• Manage research exchange partnerships such as the China Scholarship Council and non‑degree programmes.
• Coordinate PhD admissions, scholarships and joint‑programme collaborations.
• Provide teaching support, faculty engagement initiatives and post‑work study scheme assignments.
• Handle financial administration for MSc students, including billing, fee‑waiver appeals and monthly aging reports.
• Analyse postgraduate demographics for intake planning and drive workflow automation and digitalisation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma with at least 5 years of relevant experience in student services.
• Strong background in academic administration, curriculum development or programme management.
• Minimum 5 years of student‑services experience, including 2 years of supervisory responsibility.
• Excellent organisational, analytical and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
• Flexible, approachable, meticulous and a collaborative team player.
