Legal Counsel – Singapore (Permanent)

About the role

We are looking for a hands‑on Legal Counsel to lead the company’s legal function in Singapore. The role will partner with finance, procurement, sales and operations to provide proactive legal and compliance advice, and will be responsible for managing the full contract lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with Finance, Procurement, Sales and Operations to deliver commercial legal guidance and risk mitigation.
• Support finance teams in managing bad‑debt risk, reviewing credit terms and assisting debt recovery.
• Draft, review and negotiate supplier, procurement, customer, logistics, NDA and service agreements.
• Develop and maintain legal templates, contract playbooks and internal guidelines.
• Oversee contract execution, archiving and corporate seal administration.
• Prepare legal demand letters and manage pre‑litigation dispute processes.
• Design and maintain a scalable legal and compliance framework aligned with business growth.
• Establish internal governance policies for contract approval and management.
• Conduct compliance training for commercial, procurement and operations teams.
• Support HR on Singapore employment law and MOM regulations.
• Monitor legal and regulatory developments in Singapore and Southeast Asia and advise senior management.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer with post‑qualification experience (PQE) in commercial law.
• Strong business orientation and ability to work closely with cross‑functional teams.
• Proven experience in drafting, negotiating and managing a wide range of commercial contracts.
• Experience in compliance, corporate governance and risk management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
