Legal Director – Data Centre Operations

About the role

We are partnering with a regional data centre owner and operator to appoint a Legal Director based in Singapore. Reporting directly to senior management, you will support commercial transactions, project development and regional expansion while shaping the legal function as the business scales.

Key responsibilities

• Lead commercial partnership and strategic transaction negotiations.
• Support land acquisition and data centre development projects.
• Draft and negotiate customer and commercial agreements.
• Advise on cross‑border legal, regulatory and risk matters.
• Partner with business, finance and project teams to drive execution.
• Manage external counsel and strengthen legal governance and compliance.

Required profile

• Prior legal experience within the IDC / data centre industry.
• Strong track record in commercial negotiations, land acquisitions and customer contracts.
• Experience supporting cross‑border transactions and international business operations.
• Fluency in English and Mandarin.
• Overseas education and/or international working experience.
• Strong commercial judgement and ability to partner with senior stakeholders.
