Legal Intern – Compliance & Data Management

About the role

Join HL Bank Singapore as a Legal Intern and support the Legal & Compliance team in building robust data repositories and streamlining court order processes. This internship offers hands‑on exposure to legal operations, data governance, and corporate governance within a leading regional bank.

Key responsibilities

• Research, map, and centralise local and international regulations into a structured Master Repository.
• Audit, clean and migrate legacy compliance and legal files to a secure Google Drive folder structure.
• Establish a secure database for incoming court orders (bankruptcy, probate, injunctions) and ensure timely dissemination to Account Services and Collections.
• Assist with scanning, logging and distributing court orders to downstream teams.
• Support data retrieval for Risk & Control Self‑Assessment (RCSA) and Quality Assurance audits.

Required profile

• Enrolled in a law, finance or related degree program.
• Strong interest in legal operations, data governance and compliance.
• Attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Google Drive and cloud‑based file management.
• Basic understanding of data migration and database design concepts.
• Awareness of data security and confidentiality best practices.
