Linux Engineer (Banking Infrastructure)

About the role

We are looking for a Linux Engineer to support and maintain the Linux‑based infrastructure that powers our banking production systems. The role operates in a 24/7 environment, requiring high availability and operational stability.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily Linux system administration on RHEL/CentOS (user management, patching, performance monitoring).
• Write and maintain Bash/Shell scripts for automation, monitoring, and routine maintenance.
• Monitor system health, respond to alerts, and troubleshoot production incidents during shift hours.
• Handle incident, problem, and change management tickets following ITIL processes.
• Execute system upgrades, patching, and security hardening.
• Work rotational shifts, including night shifts, to provide round‑the‑clock coverage for banking systems.
• Escalate critical issues per SOPs and coordinate with L2/L3 teams.
• Maintain documentation of processes, runbooks, and incident reports.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on experience with Linux (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu) administration.
• Proficiency in Bash scripting for automation and troubleshooting.
• Willingness to work 24/7 rotational or fixed night shifts.
• Immediate availability or short notice period.
• Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS).
