Logistics & Raw Materials Specialist – Purchasing

About the role

The Logistics & Raw Materials Specialist – Purchasing will manage the end‑to‑end procurement and logistics of all raw materials, intermediates, components and finished packages imported into Chevron Oronite’s Singapore Manufacturing Plant. The role works closely with planning, procurement and scheduling teams to ensure timely, accurate delivery of both local and overseas supplies.

Key responsibilities

• Execute purchase orders for all raw materials in SAP and track order status, quantity changes and delivery dates.
• Coordinate with suppliers and 3rd‑party logistics providers to secure on‑time arrivals and develop alternate supply plans when deviations occur.
• Maintain real‑time delivery schedules and shipping details in SAP for stakeholder visibility.
• Track ISO tank returns, demurrage charges and verify container vendor invoices.
• Monitor supplier performance metrics (quality and reliability) and share findings with Procurement.
• Resolve material quality issues, invoice discrepancies and lead corrective‑action investigations with Quality, Manufacturing and suppliers.
• Conduct audits of 3rd‑party logistics providers, manage HS/DG documentation and update freight invoices.
• Support digitalisation and process‑improvement initiatives to enhance supply‑chain visibility and data quality.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Supply Chain, Engineering or Business.
• 3‑5 years of experience in logistics, supply chain or operations.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to work quickly across internal and external stakeholders.
