M365 Engineer

About the role

The M365 Engineer will act as the Subject Matter Expert for Microsoft 365 services, delivering high‑level support, design, and governance across the organisation’s digital workplace environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide L3/L4 support for complex issues, escalations and service optimisation on Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive and related workloads.
• Lead design, configuration and governance of M365 services in line with enterprise standards.
• Manage identity and access integration with Azure AD (Entra ID) and enforce security and compliance controls.
• Ensure service availability, performance and SLA adherence for all M365 platforms.
• Implement and maintain data protection policies such as DLP, Conditional Access and Microsoft Defender.
• Drive user adoption and enablement initiatives for M365 tools.
• Collaborate with EPM, MDM, Security and Infrastructure teams to deliver integrated digital workplace solutions.
• Lead automation and continuous improvement projects using PowerShell and native M365 capabilities.
• Provide governance reporting and communicate service health and usage metrics to stakeholders.

Required profile

• Professional level experience with Microsoft 365 services and enterprise‑grade support.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities for complex technical issues.
• Proven ability to design, configure and govern cloud‑based collaboration platforms.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with cross‑functional teams and business users.
