Maintenance Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to ensure the smooth operation of our milling equipment and facilities. In this position you will lead a team of technicians, troubleshoot equipment failures, and drive continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead maintenance technicians in routine upkeep of production equipment to maintain optimal functionality.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis of equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with production teams to minimise downtime and maximise productivity.
• Develop and execute preventive‑maintenance schedules.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency enhancements.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
• Perform any other duties assigned by superiors.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in maintenance engineering within a manufacturing setting.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to emergency maintenance calls.
