Maintenance Engineer Trainee – 15‑Month Structured Programme

About the role

AbbVie is offering a 15‑month Maintenance Engineer Trainee position within its Singapore engineering team. The role provides hands‑on experience in maintaining manufacturing equipment and utility systems in a biomedical environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance activities for production equipment and utilities.
• Assist in equipment troubleshooting, breakdown investigations and implementation of corrective actions.
• Maintain work orders, documentation and planning within the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Participate in scheduled shutdowns, inspections and equipment improvement projects.
• Contribute to reliability initiatives, root‑cause analysis and continuous‑improvement activities.
• Collect data, perform trend analysis and help optimise maintenance processes.

Required profile

• Singapore citizen or permanent resident.
• Strong interest in engineering, maintenance or biomedical manufacturing.
• Demonstrated willingness to learn and work in a team‑oriented environment.

Required skills

• Familiarity with a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
