Manager, IT Database Services and Systems Support

About the role

The Manager, IT Database Services and Systems Support will lead the design, implementation and maintenance of critical Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server environments for HL Bank Singapore. You will ensure database performance, availability and security while supporting a range of production applications.

Key responsibilities

• Manage Oracle and SQL Server databases across development, testing and production lifecycles.
• Configure, monitor and tune database servers to meet performance, availability and security targets.
• Apply data‑modelling techniques and capacity‑planning to support integration and growth.
• Provide technical mentorship, cross‑training and domain expertise to peers.
• Handle BAU operations, deployments on Windows and Linux platforms, and automate routine processes.
• Perform backup, recovery, migration and upgrade activities, and support the IPC NICE Recording telephony system.
• Manage incident, problem and change processes, and coordinate escalations with Production Engineers Level 2.
• Prepare documentation, specifications and knowledge‑improvement plans.

Required profile

• University degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in MS SQL Server, Oracle and Linux/Windows administration.
• At least 5 years of application support experience.
• Familiarity with SFTP solutions (Crush FTP) and Tectia Job Scheduler.
• Relevant certifications such as MCTS, MCITP or MVP are a plus.
