Manager (Outreach & Publicity)

About the role

The Outreach & Publicity Manager will support external‑facing communications for the National Service (NS) programme, creating and distributing publicity materials to stakeholders such as the Ministry of Defence, employers, community groups and the general public.

Key responsibilities

• Generate and package NS‑related publicity materials and collaterals.
• Ensure timely dissemination of NS information to external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with domain owners to verify content accuracy.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive publicity and communications plan.
• Keep public‑facing NS platforms up‑to‑date and monitor satisfaction levels.
• Prepare draft responses to feedback and ensure queries are addressed promptly.

Required profile

• Education in Communications or a related field (preferred).
• At least five years of experience in media relations, public communications or a similar role (applicants without experience may also apply).
• Strong command of spoken and written English.
• Meticulous, patient and self‑directed with high attention to detail.
• Keen interest in NS management and defence matters.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
