Manager Regional Trade Compliance

About the role

Caterpillar is hiring a Manager Regional Trade Compliance in Singapore as part of its Trade Center of Excellence (TCOE). The role acts as a trusted business partner, working with stakeholders to understand their needs, give expert guidance on trade matters and embed compliance principles into business operations. It translates regulatory requirements into practical business solutions and supports strategic decisions on Caterpillar's trade strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute risk assessments of Export Control and Trade compliance programs to ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with regional business divisions, compliance teams and legal teams to support global trade management.
• Support the development, implementation and maintenance of Export Control and Trade compliance policies and procedures.
• Provide training on government laws, rules and regulations relating to the company's products, services and technologies.
• Monitor, manage and mitigate risks through stakeholder and business partner engagement.
• Assist with developing and implementing compliance strategies and goals aligned with company objectives.
• Communicate insights, progress and recommendations across the organization.

Required profile

• Minimum 15+ years of experience in trade compliance or a related field.
• Demonstrated business partnering, advocacy and acumen, with strong intellectual curiosity.
• Experience developing or managing trade compliance processes, and building, implementing or enhancing compliance programs and operational controls in a multinational environment.
• Proven ability to lead, influence and build trust with stakeholders at all levels.
• Strategic thinker who thrives in ambiguity and solves complex regulatory challenges.
