About the role

IRAS is recruiting a Manager (Valuer) for its Property Tax Division. The role applies expertise in property tax matters and valuation to property tax and stamp duty assessments, capital valuation work and business process improvements, within a team that uses digital capabilities.

Key responsibilities

Handle the end-to-end administration of property tax matters for properties under charge
Assess properties for property tax purposes, determining Annual Values and communicating the basis of assessment to taxpayers
Handle objections and appeals against property tax assessments, including preparing reports to the Valuation Review Board
Improve work practices and operational procedures
Keep up with property market trends and assist in policy reviews

Required profile

Degree in Real Estate
Related professional experience is an advantage
Good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

Only shortlisted candidates will be notified. Successful hires receive a 2-year contract initially.
