Managing Consultant, Solution Consulting & Digital Deployment

About the role

The Managing Consultant, Solution Consulting & Digital Deployment leads complex digital engagements from opportunity qualification through solution definition and transition into delivery. The role combines commercial acumen, technical consulting and deployment leadership, acting as a senior advisor to clients and internal stakeholders who align business, product, technology and delivery teams. It covers opportunity shaping, technical and deployment leadership, portfolio governance and operational scale.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with account teams, product, Digital Labs and delivery leaders to qualify and prioritise opportunities where Digital Deployment can accelerate client outcomes.
• Lead discovery with clients to define objectives, success measures, constraints, dependencies and decision criteria, and shape the solution and deployment approach.
• Develop executive-level proposals, value narratives and statements of work, and support commercial negotiations while protecting delivery quality and margin.
• Assess client architecture, platforms, integrations, security requirements and implementation readiness, and lead feasibility assessments with product and engineering teams.
• Define the deployment blueprint, workstreams, integration dependencies, acceptance criteria and transition plan, and act as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders.
• Maintain an integrated view of the regional opportunity and deployment portfolio, establish governance and decision rights, and give executive reporting on pipeline health and mobilisation readiness.
• Improve the operating model for intake, estimation, solution review, mobilisation and handover, forecast capacity needs, coach colleagues and select and govern third-party partners.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in business, technology, engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Extensive experience (7+ years) in solution consulting, technology consulting, solution architecture or digital deployment, with a track record of independently leading complex client engagements.
• Ability to lead discovery, clarify ambiguous client needs and build credibility with senior business and technology stakeholders.
• Experience coordinating multiple concurrent opportunities and leading cross-functional teams and delivery partners without formal authority.

Required skills

• Strong working knowledge of digital platforms, APIs, cloud and integration patterns, security and operational readiness.
• Experience developing client proposals, estimates, resource plans and statements of work.
• Preferred: payments, financial services or regulated environments, Mastercard products, domains such as digital identity, tokenisation, fraud and risk controls, open banking, digital wallets or real-time payments, Agile or hybrid delivery, and reusable consulting methods.
