Manufacturing Technician – Cleanroom Assembly & Test

About the role

Join Applied Materials as a Manufacturing Technician working hands‑on in a cleanroom environment. You will build, repair and test multimillion‑dollar display and wafer‑fabrication equipment that powers today’s advanced chips and displays.

Key responsibilities

• Utilize work orders, schematics, wiring diagrams and parts lists to assemble, repair and test electrical, electro‑mechanical, vacuum and pneumatic assemblies.
• Perform electro‑mechanical assembly operations, troubleshooting and corrective repairs.
• Use test fixtures, electronic measurement equipment, leak detectors and vacuum pumps to verify assemblies and sub‑assemblies.
• Enter progress, expense and labor data into computer systems.
• Receive parts, audit inventory and inspect components for defects.
• Maintain a safe, clean and secure work environment and follow all safety procedures.

Required profile

• Analytical skills and ability to apply scientific methods to routine tasks.
• Understanding of how the manufacturing team integrates with other functions.
• No supervisory responsibilities required.
• Capability to recognize and resolve typical problems without supervisory approval.
• Impact on the quality of own work and ability to communicate effectively.
