Marine Superintendent – Infrastructure

About the role

The Marine Superintendent – Infrastructure will lead the safe, efficient and compliant operation of EXMAR’s marine assets in Singapore. You will ensure that the Safety Management System (SMS) and all relevant regulations are applied both on‑shore and on‑board, supporting operational excellence and commercial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Provide Marine & Labor HSEQ expertise to infrastructure projects across all phases, including transition to operations.
• Ensure compliance with internal procedures, international regulations and industry standards in line with the SMS.
• Lead operational people management: set objectives, monitor HSEQ KPIs and drive employee development.
• Coordinate inspections, prepare assets, respond to findings and support terminal acceptance.
• Support third‑party inspections, manage audit processes and drive continuous improvement.
• Embed HSEQ in daily operations, support risk management, incident investigations and energy‑efficiency monitoring.
• Act as emergency duty manager and participate in the fleet’s emergency response team.

Required profile

• Proven experience in marine operations and HSEQ management.
• Strong leadership and people‑management skills.
• Ability to intervene when SMS requirements are not met and to address third‑party observations.
• Commercial awareness to safeguard fleet viability.

• Cargo operations knowledge.
• IMO regulations and OCIMF/CDI standards.
• Mooring operations proficiency.
• Weather forecasting and interpretation.
• Technical specifications of asset equipment.
• Safety Management System (SMS) implementation.
