Materials Project Management Specialist

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a Materials Project Management professional to lead forecasting, sourcing, and material strategy for semiconductor manufacturing in Singapore. The role supports engineering and production teams by coordinating demand, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring cost‑effective material supply.

Key responsibilities

• Forecast and communicate engineering, materials, and manufacturing requirements to suppliers.
• Perform make‑versus‑buy analysis and provide input to outsourcing decisions.
• Coordinate demand signals through MRP to minimize inventory exposure.
• Lead the Materials Core Team, managing product development deliverables across buyers, planners, and production control.
• Negotiate supplier pricing and delivery terms, conduct risk assessments, and monitor supplier performance.
• Manage material change control, cost targets, and quality issue resolution.
• Generate and publish key process indicators and track landed cost targets.

Required profile

• Demonstrated expertise in materials sourcing, supplier risk assessment, and cost analysis.
• Ability to collaborate with engineering, quality, and commodity business managers to resolve supplier issues.
• Experience leading cross‑functional teams and managing project deliverables.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to influence decisions across multiple functions.
