Materials Project Manager – B2

About the role

Applied Materials, a global leader in materials science and engineering, is seeking a Materials Project Manager (B2) to support semiconductor and advanced display manufacturing. Based in Singapore, you will work under direct supervision to forecast material needs, coordinate with suppliers, and drive cost‑effective sourcing strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Forecast and communicate engineering, materials, and manufacturing requirements to suppliers.
• Perform make‑versus‑buy analysis and provide input to outsourcing decisions.
• Coordinate demand signals through MRP to minimize inventory exposure.
• Support creation, release, and updates of new project material strategies.
• Assist in supplier price and delivery negotiations and conduct risk assessments on critical parts.
• Generate and publish key process indicators (KPIs) and track total landed cost targets.

• Demonstrates expanded conceptual knowledge in materials planning and broadens capabilities.
• Understands key business drivers and applies them to daily work.
• Provides informal guidance to new team members without formal supervisory responsibilities.
• Solves straightforward problems using technical experience and judgment.
• Communicates complex information clearly in routine situations.
