Materials Project Manager – Engineering & Sourcing

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a Materials Project Manager (B3) to lead forecasting, supplier coordination and material strategy for semiconductor and display equipment in Singapore.

Key responsibilities

• Forecast and communicate engineering, materials and manufacturing requirements to suppliers.
• Perform make‑versus‑buy analysis and provide input to outsourcing decisions.
• Coordinate demand signals through MRP to minimise inventory exposure.
• Lead the Materials Core Team, managing product development deliverables across buyers, planners and production control.
• Assist in supplier price and delivery negotiations and conduct supplier risk assessments.
• Manage material change control, cost objectives and quality issue resolution.

Required profile

• Demonstrated expertise in materials engineering and familiarity with related disciplines.
• Knowledge of best practices, competitive landscape and integration with other functions.
• Ability to solve complex problems and influence cross‑functional teams.
