M&E Design Coordinator

About the role

Our client, a leading civil and building contractor in Singapore, is seeking an experienced M&E Design Coordinator to oversee mechanical and electrical design coordination for LTA and building projects. You will act as the central hub between consultants, clients, and subcontractors to ensure design deliverables meet schedule and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor consultants’ M&E design progress against submission schedules and detailed design timelines.
• Review design drawings, identify missing information, clashes, and constructability issues.
• Oversee M&E design coordination, liaising with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
• Coordinate drawing schedules and ensure timely release of construction drawings across all disciplines.
• Collaborate with BIM modelers and drafters to produce accurate shop drawings.
• Identify critical technical sections, resolve technical challenges proactively, and support document submissions for approvals.
• Address and resolve on‑site technical issues, maintaining proper documentation and communication.

Required profile

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as an M&E Coordinator on building and infrastructure projects, preferably with LTA exposure.
• Proven ability to work in a main‑contractor environment and interpret technical drawings independently.
