M&E Project Engineer – Singapore

About the role

Our client, a leading main contractor in Singapore, is expanding its project team and is looking for qualified M&E Project Engineers to support the delivery of large‑scale building developments island‑wide. The role involves coordinating mechanical, electrical and building services works to ensure timely, quality‑driven execution.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors and suppliers on shop drawings, material submissions, method statements and technical documentation.
• Review M&E works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, statutory requirements and quality standards.
• Attend project, coordination and technical meetings to resolve site issues and maintain smooth execution.
• Monitor construction progress, schedule M&E activities and prevent clashes between trades.
• Lead regular coordination meetings with M&E subcontractors to align with the construction programme.
• Oversee testing & commissioning and combined services testing to prepare for authority inspections and handover.
• Maintain project documentation in line with quality management systems and ISO requirements.
• Collaborate with the safety team to enforce workplace safety procedures and permit‑to‑work requirements.
• Track non‑compliance issues and coordinate timely rectifications with subcontractors.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in M&E site coordination or project execution within building construction.
• Proven experience coordinating consultants, subcontractors and M&E trades throughout the construction lifecycle.
• Good understanding of local building regulations, testing & commissioning, quality assurance and workplace safety practices.
• Strong communication, coordination and problem‑solving abilities.
