Mechanical Engineer – Protection Systems

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our Advanced Material Solutions Division. You will play a key role in designing and developing protection systems that meet stringent security and industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the design, optimisation and development of protection systems.
• Support the fabrication of precision fixtures for system applications.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation such as drawings, specifications, test reports and process guidelines.
• Provide engineering support to production and quality assurance teams to resolve technical challenges.
• Contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives to enhance system performance.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering, operations and execution teams.
• Engage customers and stakeholders to translate requirements into innovative solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Product Development, Systems Design or a related field.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and capacity to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Effective communication and coordination skills for cross‑team collaboration.
• Willingness to travel for field testing and supplier engagement.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAD software, preferably SolidWorks.
