Medical Technologist I

About the role

Eurofins Scientific is an international life sciences company offering analytical testing services, and its Singapore laboratory is looking for a Medical Technologist I. The role covers the performance of analytical analyses and the care of the equipment and materials used, with independent, accurate reporting of results.

Key responsibilities

• Perform analyses independently and accurately, in line with authorised work rules, and check result quality with first-line controls
• Control instruments, perform regular maintenance and report unfixed faults to the Laboratory Manager or delegate
• Assess QC results after running QC samples with QC software and present them to the LIMS for first-line validation
• Validate analysis results for which the incumbent is competent
• Report timely needs for reagents and consumables to the Laboratory Supervisor or delegate
• Assist in sample management if needed, keep the workplace tidy, follow safety rules and PPE, and comply with all SOPs and in-house QC procedures
• Maintain the personal training file and carry out other tasks assigned by the Laboratory Manager or delegate

Required profile

• B.Sc. degree or equivalent in Biomedical Sciences
• 1-2 years of experience in a clinical or central laboratory
• Good knowledge of Laboratory Medicine
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Required skills

• First-line validation of analysis results
• Use of QC software and LIMS
• Knowledge of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
